In my field of dreams and optimistic plans

I have planted what-ifs, reveries, and I-cans

I watered them with my blood, sweat, and tears

And tilled each row with the jagged edge of my fears

Until one day I stood back and watched them bloom

And smelled the scent of success' sweet perfume
