This Book is the Buzz Killington to “Family Guy”

Ugh, where to begin? Okay. First of all, there’s really no point to the book. It’s little more than a bunch of blathering with incredibly unfunny character dissections. Now, I understand this isn’t *necessarily* intended to be a humorous book, but it goes too far in the other direction for my taste.

It’s also painfully obvious the narrator is no FG fan, which makes it even worse. He mispronounces names any FG fan would know, and when reading quotes from a scene, he just READS, with little to no voice inflection, which completely negates any humor in the lines he reads. In fact, it just sucks the fun out of what had the potential to be an interesting, and definitely more entertaining look at FG through a philosophical lens; ergo, the reason for my title of this review.

I really tried, but just couldn’t bring myself to sit through more than half of the book, Maybe - MAYBE - it could be salvaged with a different narrator, but we’ll never know.

I’m just glad it was free.
