What a thrill ride!

Ms. Ruffle has done it again!! The Rocky Mountain fire Department has its hands full. Fires, explosions, and back stabbing, of my!!
I listened to this book almost straight through (except for a few hours of sleep) I highly recommend this book!!

The story line was unusual . Totally enjoyed it .

Awesome book!

This is Ian and Rory's story. It has a wonderful small town flavor with warm, interesting, and fun characters. The suspense and excitement are totally entertaining and enjoyable. The narration is very good!

Great read!

I really enjoyed this one! It picks up with Ian Walsh, the firefighter who is split between the firefighter/search and rescue world and the MC. He also is dealing with some suspicion towards him about the headless body found int he first book in the series. Rory is his best friend, though they both have secrets. Things start escalating when someone/intruders are trying to break into Rory's compound at night. She owns and operates a gun shop and range on property she inherited from her parents and is known to the cons as the place to get not so legal guns for the last few years. Rory had been trained by her prepper parents from a very young age and so is dealing with the threat and trying to figure out who and what. Ian is not liking it and wants to protect her and stay with her which is causing their relationship to start shifting from best friends into more as it gets harder for them to hide the feelings they have. The attempted break ins continue to escalate as the nights go on and secrets start coming out. I enjoyed watching Ian and Rory start opening up to each other and navigating the changes in their relationship amidst everything else that is going on around them. This story did a good job of blending everything together and flowing smoothly throughout. It was well written and had plenty of action and intrigue. I loved getting to know the other characters better and seeing how things are coming along with the headless body case as well. I'm excited for the next book in the series and to see where things go now.
The narrator did a good job with the story and characters and bringing them to life.
