Very entertaining story and performance!!

This is another very entertaining book in this series that is both a police procedural and a political story. I really love the combination and the wonderfully written characters. There is plenty of suspense to keep the story moving. The various romances are good though I'm just not a fan of the descriptive sex scenes. The performance of this book is very good!

I’m loving the series, but it’s really getting annoying that Sam is always getting special treatment… I really loved the beginning of the book with her taking a break & WH… but she is getting more selfish .. she always puts work first

Great Series, Questionable Covers

I am glad I started this series despite the rather unfortunate book covers, which do not do the stories justice. I have enjoyed this installment just as much as the others in the series. The characters remain engaging, and the suspense keeps the story moving.
However, after reading ten books in the series, I find myself skimming past the intimate scenes. They have become quite repetitive and, in my opinion, start to take away from the tension and momentum of the plot. The mystery and suspense are the real strengths of the series, and I would much rather see the focus remain there.
Overall, I still enjoyed the book and will continue with the series, but a bit less emphasis on the recurring romantic scenes would make the storytelling even stronger.

Great characters interesting story with surprising twists but with poignant story for gonzo and others in this story
