Dean Jacobs is one of Milwaukee's hottest eligible bachelors and in no mood to settle down, until Evy comes along. Evy, however, is focused on opening a new dessert lounge with her sister and has no time for romance. Dean won't take no for an answer, though. She finally gives in to the want in her gut and - much to her surprise - discovers he isn't the player she thought he was. Just when things turn into a fairy tale sent from above, Dean's past comes back to haunt him. The only question is: will it make them stronger, or rip them apart?

Would you try another book from Kaitlyn Cross and/or Elizabeth Hart?

I would not read a book by Cross or Hart again. My last book was "Gone Girl" so I cannot believe that Audible recommended this book as my next read. Very disappointed.

POOR WRITING STYLE: This book sounds like it's written by a 19 year old girl who's taken one writing course in community college. I knew it would be an "easy/mindless read" from the beginning, but the descriptions are ridiculous (her hair blowing in the wind is a description she uses three or four times in the 2nd chapter alone). The narration of the male character is written like a girl day dreaming of the way "guys talk."

NARRATION: Terrible. Valley girl trying to talk like a guy. Half laughs when talking in her guy voice. Very cheesy.

The only reason I'm going to finish the book is because I unfortunately wasted a $15 credit on it...

What could Kaitlyn Cross have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Not try so hard. Sounds like she's ready too many novels, and tried to write one of her own. Tried way too hard to make it sound like an intelligent book, when really it's just a cheap romance novel.

Would you be willing to try another one of Elizabeth Hart’s performances?

Absolutely not. Monotonous valley girl reading a script. Sorry.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Anger, frustration.

Any additional comments?

I'm really frustrated that my first Audible book was "Gone Girl," #3 on the best sellers list, and then they recommend this book.

Aweful!
