Brutal, unrelenting, captivating

Picking up the story of these characters for an eventful snapshot of time was riveting from the first chapter. The voice acting is great, and the novel rarely lulls. I was extremely invested throughout

Great story. Tom Stechshulte shines.

Stechshulte can make even mediocre books worth a listen but he shines in this one. I really enjoyed this book.

Dark but deep southern crime story

Characters are well developed and complex. Some foreshadowing, but not enough to give away the plot or ending. I loved the story and the narrator. But it can be depressing.

Great read. Larry brown is a classic. Great look at Deep South narrator is very good as well.

What a great writer

This is one of the best books I’ve ever read/ listened to. I will be reading many more books by this author. I almost can’t wait.
