Feather and Fell follows Asher and Colin Morninglade as they investigate a possible murder and find monsters and madness along the way. After receiving a letter from a trusted family friend and mentor, Asher, shield mage and scribe of the king, travels with his team to the picturesque city of Cloudfall. He is joined by the ever-inquisitive goblin She, the magically talented Etta, and his brother Colin, a knight in training. As they travel, they will encounter manifestations of lost and forgotten evils, and will either live or die by the decisions they make. Can they stop the corruption, or will they be too late?

This debut dark fantasy novella is the first of a four-part story that borders between the fantastical and the horrifying.

Colin, Asher, and their friends battle evil spirits to maintain control of their land and themselves. At times, it’s hard to know who will win. The battle of evil and fantastical creatures keeps you on your toes. The narration and the story pull you right in.

Good has to win!

Feather and Fell by Jordan Hood.

The narration kept me spell bound and scared. Well done!
This is dark fantasy. The magic very different and the monsters horrifying.

After receiving a letter from a trusted family friend and mentor, Asher Morninglade, shield mage and scribe of the king, travels with his brother, Colin, a knight in training, to the picturesque city of Cloudfall to investigate a possible murder. He is joined by the ever-inquisitive goblin She and the magically talented Etta. As they travel they encounter monsters, death and destruction, and a spreading corruption. To be continued. I await the next instalment with ambivalence. I am more a fan of "Happy Happy Talk" and this was dark, dark fantasy.
