Crime Writers’ Association Cartier Diamond Dagger Award-winning author Val McDermid pens thrilling mysteries eagerly devoured by fans. In the sixth novel in her Tony Hill series—the inspiration for the hit British television show Wire in the Blood—psychologist Tony Hill and Detective Carol Jordan’s investigation of a teenage girl’s murder leads them to an Internet predator.

I always enjoy Gerard Doyle's performance and Val McDermid tells another engrossing story full of wonderful Brit slang.

Great narration and very good story

A serial killer is targeting teenagers, and clinical psychologist Tony Hill and DCI Carol Jordan are on the cases, which initially don’t appear related. Good backstory on Tony’s mother. You probably need to already love the characters to love this, but I do, enough so that I immediately started the next in the series as soon as I finished. Bechdel test: Pass.

I like to follow series. This is probably the most consistent in quality story to story. Thus far not a dud in the lot. I gave this one a 4 but for me they all come very close to 5 stars. I highly recommend this series for extended reading.

Great Series

I enjoyed this one as much as some of the earlier books. It was a bit out there when it came to being plausible, but I didn't really mind. Good back story on Tony Hill and his parents, which were my favourite parts.
