We live in a time when marital fidelity is under assault. Driven by the forces of relativism, our society assaults sexual fidelity on numerous fronts. The push for homosexual marriages, for example, come at the end of the fall into perversion, not the beginning. Faithless husbands began the fall long ago, and our culture, with all its washed-out self-help books, fails to address the real problem - sin.

Addressed to men, Fidelity hits hard, using clear language, focusing on specific sins with specific solutions: adultery, divorce, polygamy, celibacy, pornography, and more. But in the end, the antidote to all sexual temptation is simple - the godly honoring of the marriage bed: "Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge." (Heb. 13.4)

Great book

Douglas Wilson is clear and concise. Agree or not it is biblical and forward. Exactly what men of our today need. Narrator is sub par.

As with anything, take it with a grain of salt. Douglas Wilson is an opinionated yet biblically founded man. He is appropriately zealous, and his words are strong, biblical, and radical. Any man seeking to become a better husband, father, and man should read (listen) to this book. I'm not a father or a husband, but I will be. Douglas Wilson is helping me to prepare to be the man God has called me to be.

Narrator pronunciation / emphasis issues

Words like ennui, disparage, indeterminable, etc. are understandably mispronounced in a live reading, but more care should be taken in a professional production. Dictionaries with recorded audio pronunciations are widely available online.

The wrong emphasis is also provided in some sentences, reducing understandability. This audiobook does not appear to have been proofed by a professional recording studio.

Recording an audiobook is a grueling process and often requires more than one take. Keep working at it, and remember that Christians must hold themselves to a higher standard.
