In a town built on second chances, her secrets may cost them everything.

Hope Landing has been Jade Villanueva’s safe haven from her dangerous past, a place to nurture her new life and strengthen her faith. But anonymous threats prove that no past stays hidden forever.
Former SEAL Deke Williams has plenty of scars—both inside and out—and a teenage son who needs more than he can give. Yet something in Jade’s quiet strength stirs Deke’s protective instincts.
Drawn together by danger and guided by prayer, they discover that true courage comes from trusting each other—and God’s plan.
Can love rooted in faith triumph over secrets bent on destroying them?

Faith under fire. Love on the line.

Hope Landing: Where every mission echoes with danger. Faith lights the way. And love is the ultimate rescue mission.

Great series and amazing characters. Loved the psychological angles of a teenager trying to find how to survive a new environment, the after school help by the quiet accountant with a secret past, and a man of action suddenly having an angry teen placed on his doorstep. The virtual voice did a pretty good job with narration. Still, would prefer human narration. Could not put it down!

intense action adventure and deep characters

The robot reader didn’t have correct emphasis and words often. It took away from the story.

Human emotions

I did not like repetitive references to Jade’s past. I thought love story drug out too long. I thought Deke should have gone straight for Sarah’s gun after the flash bomb at the old lumber mill. I liked the development of DJ and the development of DJ and Jade’s relationship.

Angst between jade and Deke
