A thrilling novel from the world's most celebrated author, Detective Harriet Blue is determined to clear a convicted killer's name ... but when there's another murder, can she escape the madmen holding her hostage?

What are the chances that convicted killer Sam Blue is innocent of the serial murders of three young women? Determined to clear his name, no matter the cost to her career, Detective Harriet Blue accepts a risky reassignment to a remote town where a diary found on the roadside reveals a murderous plan.

And the first killing, shortly after her arrival, suggests that the clock is already ticking. Meanwhile, back in the city, a young woman holds the key to crack Harriet's brother's case wide open. If only she could escape the madmen holding her hostage.

What did you love best about Fifty Fifty?

Exciting story with well developed characters. I was surprised at nearly every turn.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Federay Holmes?

Anyone! She has the most annoying Australian accent I ever heard. The story was great but this is easily the worst narration I have ever encountered.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. It wasn't that compelling.

Good story, Horrid narration!

I have listened to so many audible books and love James Patterson’s writing. However the audible performance of this book was so monotone that it was very hard to follow. Did not keep my interest as it should have and missed a lot of the story because I would daydream instead of staying engaged. Not fair to rate story.

I really liked the other books in the series but something about this one was too slow. It didn’t retain my interest as well.

Meh

This is another in the Harriet Blue series. Since the book takes place in Australia and it's about an Australian police woman I do not understand the complaints about the narrators accent. Harriet is a repressed character, emotional damaged from years in the Foster Care system so the pace and tone fit her character well. As with most good thrillers, there are two plot lines and the book switches back and forth a lot. Good to listen to in longer segments so you don't get confused. I have listened to all the series and will get the next as well.

Love the narrator
