As a Stage II Breast cancer survivor, I found the way I related with Marilyn's story was profound. So many details I personally experienced she formed into beautiful words. All would benefit by reading this book, whether a survivor, patient in treatment or loved one or friend walking alongside the forementioned.

The Balm of Gilead

God has used a number of things to get us through the last 5 years of fighting kidney failure, retinopathy, neuropathy, hyper tension and life threatening infections as a result of living a lifetime with diabetes. Caring for my husband has been as much of a blessing as it has been a painful challenge and self revealing. At this moment I MUST say this book has been to me like the BALM IN GILEAD! I listened intently repeating phrases and even chapters several times. I gave away my print copy and spoke to my women's group and explained how much they need to read even if they aren't "going through a crisis" at the moment. It has caused paradigm shifts, established a new paradox and changed my definition of joy! It's permission to go through this process and feel my emotions have given me freedom and its validations have healed spaces and places in my heart that were hurting! I cannot say enough, I cannot thank enough and I am overwhelmed with joy over the gift that this book has been to me and my husband...

Helpful, practical, not even slightly treacle

Feinberg shares her life experience living through cancer and fighting back with joy--small gestures and decisionns then and in her every day life that add joy to life. She understands the importance of the trivial.

Inspiring Faith

This is actually the second time that I've listened to this audiobook. It's such a wonderful display of faith in God. She doesn't just talk the talk she walks the walk! I've already recommended it to multiple family members and I highly recommend it to anybody that's interested.
