Young furniture salesman Brody Caulson cracks when an obnoxious customer pushes him too far and, in a fit of anger, he commits the ultimate crime.

Murder.

As Brody battles newly awakened impulses for violence and retribution, a neighbor disappears, and her young son turns to him for comfort and support. Appeasing an ever-suspicious boss and diverting visits from the local police, it’s up to Brody to avoid discovery and control his dark side long enough to find his missing neighbor whilst babysitting Javier.

But, as the life he knows unravels, he must make a decision–to get her back, he will have to kill again. Can he control his vigilante side, or be lost to the darkness forever?

THE FATHER BLACK Series:
GOING DARK, Audiobook and eBook, #2 - This story picks up a week after Mission Black ends. It is steady nonstop action, with intense story lines and great characters. Interesting, intriguing, immersing entertainment that makes you frown when the last page is read, you want more. The returning narrator Holt Shepherd is perfect for this book. He does a great job with reading, the characters, and their emotions. Source: My Kindle library, The author, and my Audible library. 5*

Mission Black, Audiobook and eBook, #1 - Absolutely one of the best books I have read recently in any genre. I was completely mesmerized by the intriguing, intense story lines, the three, actually, four awesome characters if you consider the "Organization" a character, and the continuous pace. Of course, vigilantism is a favorite theme for me, and having a Catholic priest as a reluctant vigilante makes an interesting formula. Added to the mix, plenty of good humor and two female characters worth their weight in gold. The other characters were a good variety of types. Of course, the darkness of Black's dilemma weighs on him and he works with God to solve his troubles. There was a bit of British English here and there that brought out a giggle or two. Minimal cursing. The narrator Holt Shepherd is perfect for this book. He does a great job with reading, the characters, and their emotions. Take Down, #3 - Each book gets better and this one ends with the possibility of another book to this trilogy. Picking up where Going Dark ends, the well written, entertaining story lines filled with action, humor and surprises make it hard to put the book down. The characters and the constant pace add to this intriguing closure. Source: The Author. 15*
THE FATHER BLACK Series end.

Final Clearance - My second book by this author and I enjoyed it, too. Funny how things work out for some people. Told in first person, the story hits highs and lows as well as love and humor. A killer with a conscience and morals, go figure. Good characters, great story lines, clean dialog and humor made this one sitting read. 4*

A Guy Walks Into A Bar, Audiobook and eBook - I enjoy reading books by this talented author. I tried to finish this book in one sitting but, alas, 0300 hours knocked me out. Funny. Interesting. Intriguing. Well written with well thought out story lines and a group of characters that are characters. All the good guys were likeable and easy to root for and the baddies were easy to hate, and admire their professionalism. I enjoyed finding out about the different types of drones and sure could use one of the loaded for bear ones in my backyard. Entertaining and realistic. The narrator Ronald Bruce Meyer does an excellent job reading, his characters, and their emotions. Source: My Kindle library, The author, and my Audible library. 5*
