Jesse Nelson was an executive for the Fremont, Elkhorn & Missouri Valley Railroad and its connection to Casper, Wyoming. His son, Jesse Jr. was enthralled with the building of railroads and decided he wanted a career in the expansion of the railroads west also. A passenger train was finally on its way to Casper in 1888 and he and his father were on it. While sitting down to lunch in a dining car, Jesse Jr. looks across the room and sees the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. His heart begins to pound, his palms are sweating, and he is at a loss for words!

Belinda Brown is riding the FE&MV to Casper, Wyoming to take care of her aunt who is ill. Her parents are elderly and must remain in Nebraska, so she is traveling west by herself. She's trying to be brave and continues to tell herself there's nothing to be afraid of. While eating lunch one afternoon, she spots a very handsome young man across the room and smiles timidly at him. He seems surprised to see her and also somewhat interested in her as well. Maybe coming to Casper, Wyoming will turn out better than she anticipated.

Loved It!

This is a sequel to Ellie Finds Love When She Goes West. I loved it so much and was worried I wouldn't love the sequel. I was wrong! It's well worth the read and I highly recommend it! You'll be happy you got it!

It was a lovely short story. It was quite lovely. I would read other books by this author.
