Lots of drama with love and strife

Deo, Allegretta, their families and lovers strive to free their communities and countries from an evil that comes through a rift in space. Using the magics of the two goddesses and conquering the rift magic known as chaos they fight for their homes, lovers, and families very survival.

not the usual humor from Katie MacAlister

The story is mildly entertaining, but lacks the usual wit and humor that are Katie MacAlister's trademark. unfortunately, the narrator is terrible. Her voice is grating and uneven, and she cannot successfully portray different voices. She is particularly bad at male voices. I recommend reading, rather than listening, to this book.

The reader is horrible

I love Katie MacAlister but couldn't listen to more than a few chapters. The reader voice is just to irritating! All the male characters sound like high pitched females. I wasted 2 credits on this series.
