How 7 of 9 became "The Borg Fenris Ranger"

Wonderful story, accurate canon characters, well acted. It was easy to imagine Jeri Ryan as 7 of 9 with the voice actress January Lavoy playing her. The budding lesbian romance between Seven and fellow Trill Ranger Ellory Kaydwas presented tenderly and believably, and without any clichés. Lots of exciting action as Seven pursues the rogue genocidal tyrant Kogish with her older partner and mentor, Keon Harper, who refers to the young crusader as "Kid." And, as Seven witnesses the death and brutality caused by Kogish, it brings back painful memories of when she was a Borg drone, a virtual slave of the Collective and had to help assimilate millions of other beings into being enslaved. She has an epiphany that was initiated when she was freed from the Borg by her friend, Commanding Officer and Mother- figure, Captain Kathryn Janeway.

I highly recommend this book/CD/streaming audio book. I also recommend to listen to it at least twice to familiarize oneself with the character, plot and various nuances. WELL DONE!

Fun and Games

Well written and well read. Nice pacing with enough breaks to come up for air. Fills in nicely the backstory on how seven ended up in the rangers.

Engaging

Storyline intertwines creatively with Seven’s journey after Voyager returned to the Alfa quadrant and her journey to see herself. Only issue was from time to time the audio glitched. Not sure if that was from my device or from it being downloaded.

Great storytelling!!!

I had forgotten how much I loved Janeway nd Seven together. The story was exciting, heartfelt, nd moments of comedy. I absolutely loved it.

Enjoyed the story, I love 7s character. it is easy to picture the characters. I enjoyScifi it was refreshing to see strong, interesting and not hyper sexualized female characters. The male characters were interesting & had positive interactions and relationships with the other characters. Enjoyed having lesbian characters without it being centered on coming out as a theme.
