Mona James, a plus size lonely podcast producer, never planned for one impulsive lie to turn into a whirlwind fake romance with a brooding, camera-shy mechanic. Phoenix Willow agrees to play the part, but the more time they spend together, the more pretend starts to feel dangerously close to real. With growing attention and undeniable chemistry, their carefully drawn lines begin to blur. What happens when a fake love starts to feel like the only thing that’s ever made sense?

I liked the fact that book was not filled with sex like most interracial books on Audible is. A true when Harry met Sally book.

This book was a sweet, charming love story—the literary equivalent of the perfect cookie. While the representation was a nice inclusion, I fear that the storyline itself is too slight to be memorable. Ultimately, despite the spice and the initial sweetness, nothing of true significance elevates this book to a higher, more lasting tier for me. It's an unfortunately forgettable read.
