Friendship....

One simple word, yet so incredibly complicated. Well, that's how it feels for Jake Cooper.

Living with his best friend, Sienna Forrester, he's used to having a woman around 24/7.

So, why is he wanting to pull his hair out?

Lukas Dark, the lead singer and guitarist of Dark Falkon, that’s why. Sienna is obsessed with him, and it's driving Jake to seven kinds of jealousy that are getting harder to hide.

For as long as Jake can remember, it's been Lukas this and Lukas that, and oh my God, if I could only meet Lukas - and now, thanks to winning a contest, she will.

Jake's out of time. He needs to find a way to make her see the truth. That it's him, not Lukas. Jake is the hero she's in love with and always has been.

I really really reeeeeally tried to like this book - it’s a debut novel by J.O. Mantel and the ‘rocker’ storyline sounded good so I wanted to give this new author a chance. But, after chapter after chapter of product placements, poor stilted dialogue, he said she saids (and endless alternative words), the dislikeable self-cantered immature heroine and the almost teenage thoughts and actions of its cast, I was done. The multi pov’s in each chapter were all over the place and often confusing as to whose pov it was.

Kudos to this Australian author for actually writing a trilogy.. because I absolutely couldn’t write a Novella let alone a full length book! - but, for me, I was sadly disappointed with his characters, his storyline and his choice of a narrator.

Worth a credit? Sorry but no.. not even if this was on a $4.95 sale I still wouldn’t recommend it.. or listen to it and I’m so pleased I didn’t purchase the other two books in this trilogy because I’d be asking for three credits back instead of just one. But this is just my opinion - you may love it.

SORRY.. SADLY DISAPPOINTING AND NOT FOR ME
