When three betrayed wives stumble into a magical apothecary shop, they discover that revenge is sweet—but finding true love and their own power is even sweeter in this witty, romantic novel about second chances from New York Times bestselling author Maisey Yates.

Nora, Daisy, and Soraya think their marriages are just fine. Until their husbands prove them wrong.

Nora’s says he needs distance and flits off to a wellness retreat in Chile. Daisy’s confesses to an affair with someone younger. And Soraya’s sends her a pic of that special part of himself—meant for another woman. At a loss for what to do, they follow their intuition right into Lady’s Mantle Apothecary.

As they embrace their untapped magic, their fortunes begin changing fast. Getting even with their exes is satisfying, but the real magic happens when they start opening their hearts to new possibilities. Nora discovers that true love might have been right in front of her all along in the form of her childhood best friend. Daisy finds herself falling for her ex-husband’s handsome business partner, a former TV star who sees the real her. And Soraya, who never dated before marriage, experiences an unexpected attraction to the mysterious owner of the game shop across the hall.

With the help of an enigmatic shopkeeper, these three women discover that the best revenge isn’t just about hexes and karma—it’s about finding your own path to love, friendship, and claiming your power. And that is positively magical.

Very cute storyline

The First Witch’s Club by Megan Yates meant so much to me. This book truly touched my heart. It tells the story of women whose lives were shaped for far too long by men who were selfish, dismissive, and made them feel small and less than. Watching these women slowly realize their worth and begin to reclaim their lives was powerful and incredibly moving.
What I loved most about this story is the reminder that there is real magic in community. As these women come together, they form a coven, and through that sisterhood they begin to rediscover themselves. The witchcraft in this story isn’t just about spells or rituals. It is about healing, friendship, and learning to trust yourself again.
This book is really about calling your power back to you and learning to live in that power. It is about women supporting each other, lifting each other up, and realizing that together they are stronger than anything that tried to hold them down.
I loved this book so much. It was empowering, heartfelt, and a beautiful reminder that sometimes the greatest magic of all is women standing together and reclaiming who they truly are.

So like First Wives Clubs, Reba, and practical magic mixed together but it could have been made better with one midnight margarita scene.

Mix of the classics

Loved the laugh-your-ass-off moments over the antics of unfaithful men. The best voice acting I’ve heard in years.

Excellent read!

I’ve only read a few of Maisie Yates books, but I would say this one is the best. It is filled with life, challenges and centered upon females, young and old. It is filled with not recognizing what’s in front of you, or behind you. It is filled with unexpected outcomes. It can seem a little bit corny in places, but the stories behind the women and their life experiences are real and happening every day in your neighborhood.

A Gift to Females Everywhere
