The allegory of exodus

Even though I never read the first one. I LOVED this book! It explained things from the first one pretty good I think. It was so good! It made me really want to read the next one. I also love how it has a good Christian foundation! Even if the “immortals” name isn’t God. It represents God as said by the author(chuck black) in a video he made, and the author’s commentary. It might be kinda hard to put the pieces together but through the whole book, it is an allegory(sometimes that has a hidden meaning or purpose) of the book from the Bible exodus.

Also someone left a 2 star review 😭 basically because they don’t know what an allegory is and they think fiction it bad (just and opinion) if you think fiction is bad why read like anything. 99% of books you find in the library are fiction. I literally looked up the definition of allegory, And it doesn’t say “something with political meaning” it is basically a symbol type thing. I already said what it was tho.

Another Excellent Tale

Chuck Black once again did an excellent job using metaphor to tell the story of Moses and the exodus of the Children of Israel from Egypt. For those who know the biblical story, they will be able to follow along with those events as they play out in a unique science fiction universe. Those who do not know the story will have their interest piqued and perhaps want to read the original story.

His worldbuilding, character development, and use of language are a perfect model for aspiring writers. As a speculative fiction writer who also writes these types of stories, I have learned a great deal about how to masterfully craft tales that enrapture and minister the awesome love and power of God for humanity.


I strongly recommend this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Amazing Story!! Perfect Narrator

This was a great production and I am loving this series, what a wonderful retelling of the Exodus. I will be listening to them all. The narration and sound effects on this story are perfect 👌

These books are the best!!

The readers of this book are so amazing in they’re acting! I’ve never listened to a book so well done, due to the sounds effects, acting, and music! My siblings and I listen to these books every night! So very interesting! Chuck Black’s mind is so brilliant to think of this story and all the characters, it’s so intriguing and intricate! God bless!
