In the midst of mourning his father, multiple events overshadow Flint Senna’s recent marriage. After the birth of their triplets, he fears he may lose his wife, Rawnie, and their weakest son, Damion. Rawnie’s French sovereignty and winery responsibilities and Flint’s fledgling Anasazi core drilling business rip them apart. For the first time in his life, Flint doesn’t have the guidance of his father, Hawk. Desperate, Flint organizes a search in Oklahoma for Hawk’s unpredictable and dangerous mentor. Rawnie’s boss and friend, Jerry Pruitt, risks his life conducting a manhunt for him. Drilling in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico, Flint observes magnificent wild horses. Intending to start a horse breeding venture and hoping to capture a particular mare, Flint seeks his estranged brother’s assistance. Dock, a ‘horse whisperer’, heads the roundup, but their near-mystical cousins and uncle save the day. Struggling with his masculine ego and Rawnie’s royal standards and obligations, Flint doubts his strength will ever equal his father’s.
