Forgetting playboy Wells Silver was supposed to be easy. If only he didn’t make it impossible. Secrets are made on the sandy shores and in the sweet small towns of Silver Island, where friendships run deep, passions run hot, and the sexy Silvers are considered island royalty. Love in Bloom novels are written to stand alone and may also be enjoyed as part of the larger series, so dive right in and devour this fun, steamy romance.

Being born into the Silver empire comes with certain expectations, but charming restaurant owner Wells Silver has always taken pleasure in breaking the rules—in his personal and his professional life.

Victoria Braden never expected to become a widow at thirty-two, much less still be trying to figure out how to move on five years later. She’d planned to drown her sorrows in alcohol on what would have been her anniversary, not flirt with trouble and lose herself in a night of passion with Silver Island royalty, playboy Wells Silver. Forgetting Wells was supposed to be easy. But apparently the pushy player didn’t get the memo.

I was excited when I first read that Melissa Foster will have a new series and the first book revolves around Wells Silver and Victoria “Victory” Braden. I have read a lot of Melissa Foster’s books and could only imagine how these worlds combined once again.

Victory has a wall around her heart ever since her husband, the love of her life, passed away five years ago. Wells have been flirting with Victory ever since they first met at a wedding. The banter between these two… chef’s kiss. Victory turns down Wells at every chance but he is just a persistent guy trying to prove he is a reformed player. Wells definitely falls first and hard for the strong willed Victory. Wells’ charming personality shines through the pages. Plus, he is just so patient with Victory. The progression of them going from friends to more was just so fun to read. All the various characters from Love in Bloom world appearing brought smiles to my face. The books are interconnected standalones so you can read them without the others, but why would you? You will fall in love with this extended family. Though Wells may have top billing at the moment. I absolutely loved the first book in The Silvers at Silver Island and cant wait to read the other Silver siblings fall in love.

Aiden Snow and Erin Mallon narrate Flirting with Trouble dual style and in first person. They did an amazing job and really portrayed the characters.

Oh Wells!

Story was consistently progressive. Good narration & realistic relationship. There weren’t any surprises & story could be condensed. I wanted more to happen then just stressing by characters over a change in relationship.

Consistent story line

it was hard to believe the playboy Wells that we have had the joy of in other stories fell first and fell hard. it was an epiphany and his buddies helped him. Not. Vic is a woman we want to be. Except for some of her constant pulling back and blaming it on remembering Harvey. I would hope that someone would've intervened sooner to work through the apartment.
But the last few chapters and especially the epilogue redeemed Vic.
Melissa is always a one click. And I lived the audible for this one!

Wells fell first

Playboy Wells has set his sights on Victory but she's not falling for his charms. He's not used to being turned down especially when he's enamored with the Lady. Even though Victory might like Wells, she's still mourning her husband. Can Wells win Victory over? I thought he was sincere in his attraction to Victory and how he was trying to support her. This is the first in this series about the Silver family. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Wells and Victory

I really enjoyed this story. It had elements of younger man/older woman, he falls first, and a strong theme of love after loss. My heart broke for Victory, and I can’t imagine what she suffered. But the story painted of letting go and the guilt that comes with it when trying to move forward were very relatable. Victory was also so well written that you rooted for her and wanted her to be happy. Wells is a character I’m glad to have finally gotten to know better after appearances in previous books in this world. He ended up being very likable and upbeat. Most importantly he was exactly what Victory needed to open her heart again. Both narrators did an amazing job telling this story. Not only did I like how they fit the characters they were portraying, but I just enjoyed their voices in general.
