Our whole family loved this book! It was a great story and my kids really like the narration. We've listened to it many times since purchasing it! A family favorite!

Cute story about a little girl who outwits a fox

McKissack tells an adorable story about a young girl who must travel through the woods to bring a basket of eggs to a neighbor. She meets a fox and you must listen to find out the rest.... The dialogue is written in Tennessee, African-American speech and is exquisitely read by McKissack. What a fun story!

Great kids story

Great story. Well read. My kids have heard it over and over but they still like to take a break in the afternoon listening to this story. Highly recommend the print book for the pictures.
