Wonderful, sweet short story with amazing narration

Since the audio version of this book is only a few hours long, I decided to listen to it while doing things around the house. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did or to get quite so invested in the characters.

The story begins with details about Ivie, the main character, and the predicament in which she finds herself. She has a possible solution to the predicament, but it involves deceit. It also involves a very big ask of her best friend, Jack.

The author’s writing is descriptive, warm, and intimate. The pairing of her style with the narrators’ smooth, expressive delivery made listening to the book really enjoyable. The narrators truly brought the characters to life. I found myself caring about Ivie and Jack and rooting for them to overcome their struggles.

Sweet romance full of great characters.

Best romance I have read. Fun character arc with heartfelt family interactions. Great fun read.

the small-town romance

I loved this short story of a small town romance. he comes home from suffering an accident in the military to come home and be thrown together with his best friend from home to falling for each other and instead of faking the relationship for the horse pull to actually committing to the relationship!

Sweet. Clean. Completely swoon-worthy.

Of course 💛 HereI thoroughly enjoyed this sweet, closed-door romance. The snowy farm setting, horses, and small-town feel made it especially cozy and charming. Friends-to-more is one of my favorite tropes, and Ivie and Jack’s story delivered plenty of heartfelt, swoony moments.

Both narrators did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life and added depth to the emotional journey.

If you enjoy Hallmark-style romance with warmth, heart, and a satisfying happily-ever-after, this is a lovely listen.
