If you love the foodie scene with cookbooks, haute cuisine, chefs, and food writer want-to-bes, you will enjoy this romp through the New York restaurant and food scene. Many references to cookbook clsssics and a good story of family and friendship. A great, fun read.

Great cookbook and food references

As a fellow food person I enjoyed this story. Was it the most mind blowing story? No but it was fun and interesting and I enjoyed the narrator. The food descriptions and cookbook references are what made the story for me. Loved Gabe as a character.

This is YA Lit in the worst way

I ordered the “lip-smacking good time” with a side of “loads of humor” but that’s not what I got.
