Life’s complicated—add a crown, and it’s a royal mess.
Tola Adetoye is your average woman—well, if you ignore the daily battle with her untameable hair. Her life is as chaotic as Chicago traffic: college, odd jobs, and caring for her bedridden mom. Let’s just say “easy” isn’t in her vocabulary. So, imagine her shock when she’s hit with the news—she’s a princess.

Suddenly, her worries don’t seem so daunting—or so she thinks.

Turns out, being royal isn’t all tiaras and tax-free shopping. It’s rules, responsibilities, and a royal family counting on her to carry on the lineage. She’s barely keeping her head above water in royal drama—until Kyle comes along. Handsome, charismatic, and absolutely the last thing she needs.
Their connection is instant, the chemistry undeniable, but how can she explain that her future isn’t exactly her own?

Tola must choose: will she toss the crown to follow her heart, or claim a throne that offers everything—except love?

This was a sweet forbidden romance. Both Kyle and Tola were strong and stubborn lovers having to breach the constraints of a royal culture. Tola had to find a way to beak her contractual betrothal to another spoiled brat royal who was not worthy of her. She hated that she was the only one of her father's children to bring about a royal bloodline. She wanted to marry for love not duty. Kyle fell for her the minute he saw her. She gave him the reason to ditch his overbearing girlfriend who didn't get the hint.

Tola came up with a solution to give her father a royal heir and be able to marry the man she loved. It almost took her life but the man she loved and who loved her was the only one to bring her back from the edge so they can have their HEA.

Definetly their destiny

I loved told and Kyle’s live story and the grumpy sunshine touch and die trope a nice break from cozy mystery. I will definitely read more by this author. ☺️

I’m never ok with virtual voice 🤨😔

it is so hard to tell if the story is good when listening to a love story read by a robot. actors bring a book to life while virtual voice can kill the humanity of the plot.

virtual voice can kill a book
