So. Many. Questions!!!

This book really just tosses you in there and makes you hope that you find your way out. There are so many unanswered questions that I want to believe will be answered but I'm left not knowing if they will or not. There is just so much mystery it's almost frustrating. I'll give it to the author, if this is what is supposed to happen to the reader, I'm very impressed. I was so lost through the whole story that I was thinking I might just ditch the series and move on to my next wish list item buuuuuut now, I MUST KNOW WHAT HAPPENS. Toward the last hour and a half of this first book, all of my questions were being toyed with like the author was trying to let me know that these questions will be answered soon (or in the next book). I think I will bite and keep trailing along and see what happens. I'm hooked, I guess.

One of the best RH series!

I read and loved this series so I had to listen to the audio. The narrator did an amazing job voicing all the characters. I'd say it's a bit of a slow burn in this one but if I remember correctly it picks up in the rest of the series. There are 4 books and the last one will be out on audio in December. If you like your books a little dark and with humor you'll love this series.

Slow burn

decent story, no spice. Freaking slow burn. Good enough to finish though. Great voice actors though, at least I had that.

The humor

Great book.. humor was relatable. MFC is funny, and honestly the writing is great. Sometimes you get into these books, and you are like really.. that's not believable, that's annoying.. already figured out the ending. Although I think I know the end point for the story. I'm not sure how it all fits together. Not a fan of a cliff hanger, but definitely starting the next book in the series because I am hooked.

The narrator was easy to listen to. I usually listen to the audios that have a male, and female..or a full cast.. but honestly this narrator was good. Didn't bother me that is was one person doing voices for all characters/genders.

If you are wondering about the spice (as I was when I was looking for a book). I would label it a slow burn, but not lacking in content. It is really good, and tasteful. Not anything that made me feel cringy (you know THOSE scenes 😬). I am use to reading/listening to books where the spice starts first chapter .. and this one did not disappoint 😜 Just in a different way.

Perfect narrator

My favorite part of this book is the narrator. She is amazing and reminds me of a female Josh Gates. The story is very good but I do wish it was a little more sexy
