Mary Shelley wished with her classic Gothic novel Frankenstein to "make the reader dread to look round, to curdle the blood, and quicken the beatings of the heart". Mary Shelley succeeded.

Victor Frankenstein finally fulfills his dream of creating his own living creature, stitched together from the macabre remains of corpses. To his horror he finds he has created something even more ghastly than in his worst imaginings. Frankenstein has created a monster with a soul!

This is one of the few unabridged versions of Mary Shelley's all-time-classic. I'd been looking for a great audiobook version of Frankenstein for quite a while. Well, here it is.

Brilliantly narrated by Daniela Acitelli, whose voice instantly puts you right into the story. Couldn't stop listening. Highly recommended.

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is a classic tale and is brought to life by Daniela Acitelli. Ms. Acitellie does the most amazing job bringing this story life. She captures the desperation, anguish, rage, and utter despair of both Victor Frankenstein and his Monster during their monologues. Her performance is something that is truly outstanding and makes this classic tale even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this audiobook. After having seen so many different portrayals of Frankenstein throughout my life on both the big and small screens and in pop culture, I must admit the original story was a very pleasant surprise and surpassed all expectation. This is a heartbreaking and hauntingly beautiful story.

Ms. Acitelli delivered a soulful performance with expertise and gravitas. Her voice has a beautiful timbre and intensity that truly made this listen extra special. This was my first time enjoying this classic tale and I loved every moment, thanks in large part to Ms. Acitelli’s fabulous performance.

Way ahead of her times, Mary Shelley was able to convey in her masterpiece the torment of a misunderstood creature brought to violence by a society that doesn't know how to accept the out of the ordinary, a concept that unfortunately resonates in the times we live in. What should have been a gentle and loving creature, has been transformed in a monster by cruelty and bigotry. All masterfully told by the author in her spell-binding prose. 200 years later Shelley's work, is more than ever a must read. Excellent with 5 stars. The interpretation by the narrator is also perfect!

Great Interpretation of an Ageless Classic
