Books 7, 8, and 9 in the USA Today bestselling Franki Amato Mysteries: Valpolicella Violet, Tuaca Tan, and Nocino Noir

When Franki Amato leaves her cheating ex and erratic job as a rookie cop in Austin, Texas, she hopes for a quieter existence at her best friend Veronica's New Orleans PI firm, Private Chicks. But life in The Big Easy is anything but quiet. Or easy. Her furnished apartment resembles an old French brothel, and her aging ex-stripper landlady has some rather odd policies. Meanwhile, Franki is hired to investigate a series of bizarre murders at a ghost-infested Christmas wedding in Venice, a risqué Mardi Gras event in the French Quarter, and a haunted hotel hosting a high-society nuptial bash. Her work puts her in contact with colorful local characters, like jewel thieves, witches, and suspicious society matrons, not to mention killers. While she's on the case, her meddlesome Sicilian nonna tries to crack an ongoing mystery—how to get her married, and pronto—and she might just be Franki's biggest nemesis.

Although I haven't read the whole series, I thought all three books in this box set were entertaining and fun. I liked the different settings for the books as the first book was set in Venice, while the other two were set in New Orleans. I was amused by the eccentric and unusual characters who added to the humorous quality of the stories. I liked Franki as she was a personable and intelligent private investigator. I enjoyed the puzzles of the twisted mysteries which kept my attention engaged. I thought Madeline Mrozek's narration was great as her performance enhanced the entertainment of the stories. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

Enjoyable Box Set
