Most ambitious story of the series

This is hands-down the most ambitious entry in the series so far. The narrative boldly expands from following Aeryn's personal journey to tracking the full scale of an entire war, weaving in multiple plot lines and raising the stakes dramatically. The scope is impressive and thrilling, showcasing real growth in the author's storytelling.
That said, the project's sheer ambition occasionally strains at the seams. It might have benefited from being split into two books to give each major thread the breathing room and deeper development it deserves. A few moments feel rushed amid the epic sweep.
Still, the result is a very enjoyable, entertaining story well worth the read.

Awesome series with unexpected twists!

I highly recommend this book and all the books by Jordan St. James. Freely Given is exciting with many unexpected twists. The writing is exquisite and paints vivid pictures through out the series. I adore the authors, who did an incredible job doing the voices making the story flows seamlessly. There are many new characters who enhance the story with interesting and enjoyable personalities. I get caught up in the series and have laughed out loud many times. The storyline is entertaining, draws the reader in, keeps the reader guessing, and you can't put it down! I can't wait for the next book in this series and more books from Jordan St James!
