Hear musicians Mick Jones and Tony James, and music critic Milo Miles, on this edition of Fresh Air.

Mick Jones is the former lead guitarist of The Clash, and Tony James is formerly of Generation X. In 2002 they came together to form the band Carbon/Silicon. Using rock samples and dance beats, and inspired by the creative potential of cyberspace, they released their first experiments as free downloadable mp3s, and later their first recordings as well. Now they have a new album, The Last Post, which is their first official "hard copy CD".

Then, Milo Miles reviews Look Directly into the Sun, the new anthology of the music of underground bands in China, which is reminiscent of Western rock of the late '70s and early '80s. It was compiled by British drummer and producer Martin Atkins. [Broadcast Date: January 29, 2008]
