From Beyond the Veil

From Beyond the Veil is a story about Wheeler's first husband who died of cancer at the age of 28, leaving her with four small sons. His spirit returned to her, directing her to write a book about the experience and their life together to help their sons, relatives, friends, and classmates to believe in god, understand the spirit world, and alleviate their fear of death. This was not the first time she had seen his spirit. With the appearance of Tom's spirit, she began to remember other spirit visits and her own out of body experience after a near fatal blow on the head at the age of 9. The book relates several other experiences of friends, relatives, and classmates who have seen spirits, but had put the memory of these visits away in the back of their minds for fear others would not believe them or think they might be losing their minds. Wheeler interviewed many people and researched numerous books on the subject, including the Bible, before writing her story.

The book is about the extraordinary experiences that happen to ordinary people.
