While the planet Naugh is under siege, more invasions start popping up across Frontier worlds. Alien fleets led by phantom Imperial warships that are not supposed to exist. Caught between time, a lack of supplies, badly trained troops, and numerous foes, Grand Admiral Aatroxiss is pressed to his limits to free Naugh and bring back some semblance of order to the Frontier.

But beneath all of this chaos lies a purpose. The Frontier has been the playground for those who oppose the Empire, and for those within the Empire who want to skirt the rules, and neither party is happy to see the Grand Admiral arrive and start undoing their machinations. These invasions are meant to break the backbone of the Frontier colonies and the Frontier Fleet before Aatroxiss has a chance to fully consolidate his power.

And win or lose these battles, his enemies are still accomplishing their goals...for now.
