The last ice age didn’t disappear. It only slept. And now, it’s waking up.
When an early October snowstorm blankets northern Wisconsin, most residents shrug it off as a seasonal anomaly. But former Army paratrooper Daniel Reicher senses something far more dangerous brewing beneath the cold. Temperatures freefall, lakes freeze overnight, and the snow—unnervingly—never melts.
Then a suppressed NOAA report leaks: the Gulf Stream is slowing. The same oceanic collapse that triggered ancient Ice Age catastrophes is happening again—only this time, millions are in the path.
As the Midwest is swallowed by blizzards and deadly cold waves, Daniel races to evacuate his family before highways shut down and bandit crews seize control of stranded communities. Their desperate journey south pits them against looters, corrupt officials, whiteout ambushes, and the bitter truth that civilization unravels fastest in the cold.
Safe at last in Louisiana’s overcrowded refugee zone, Daniel discovers his skills are desperately needed. Entire cities up north have frozen solid. Thousands remain trapped. And a new breed of warlord has risen from the ruins.
Joining a federal rescue corps, Daniel returns to the frozen states on missions few survive—extracting families from buried homes, fighting marauder factions armed with plow-armored vehicles, and navigating storms that descend with prehistoric fury. Each mission reveals the same pattern: the cold is advancing, the country is fracturing, and survival now depends on grit, courage, and a willingness to confront evil in the snow.
But the frostline is still falling… and the final storm has yet to arrive.
FROSTLINE: A SURVIVAL EPIC is a gripping, high-intensity thriller of family, endurance, and America’s fight to endure a new ice age. Perfect for fans of Pulsed, One Second After, Alas, Babylon, and deep-winter survival fiction.

This book started out well with a good story line but kept repeating over and over again. 2/3 of this book could have been cut out. Most of it is repetitive rambling that was used for filler I'm guessing. Plus AI reading it is dumb.

Good story idea but rambling

This book annoyed me. The characters were all the best candidates for the job every time, all of the time. Army ranger and his nurse wife and their brilliant kids take on the apocalypse being perfectly perfect for all the hardships they face. It became annoying. It’s hard to believe in the army ranger who can see all of the angles in every engagement, always five steps ahead. Kids constantly correcting scholars bc they just happen to know better from applied knowledge gets old quick.

If you were the smartest person in every room you stepped into..
