It was supposed to be a banner day for Alyssa’s gourmet pet food business—until the magic hit the fan.

Just as Alyssa is about to launch her premium line of pet snacks, a magical tremor rocks Largo Island, uncovering long-buried secrets—and a dead body. Worse, the cops seem more interested in pointing fingers than finding answers, and Alyssa’s bank account is hanging on by a paw-shaped thread.

Enter Malachite, her ex-fiancé, whose specialty is breaking hearts and stirring trouble. Teaming up with him to solve a murder and save her business feels like the worst idea since gluten-free cat treats. But desperate times call for questionable alliances.

With a killer on the loose, magic running amok, and her ex’s smug face around every corner, Alyssa has her work cut out for her. Can she crack the case before she becomes the island’s next cautionary tail?

Ghost Food on Largo Island is a quirky, paranormal cozy mystery brimming with magic, mayhem, and second chances. Download it now to join the fun—before Alyssa totally loses her biscuits!

I'm not even going to comment on the AI narration.
Seems as if the author couldn't decide what they wanted to write, nor did they take the time to do research. According to this story the islands in Lake Michigan were created by Aliens, the "clans" who live on the islands gave been feuding for generations?, & its cheaper to ship supplies & staff back & forth from an island then to rent/buy property on the mainland.
The author couldn't decide if they wanted to write a mystery, a SciFi novel, a paranormal tale, or a story about animals or dancing.
There were alot of characters thrown in but they were mostly one dimensional.
Possibly written using AI?
Could have been a good concept if they'd done more research & had a more focused plot.
