Something’s baking at Ginger Snaps Bakery… and it’s not just cookies.

When beloved small-town baker Ginger Lawrence discovers a dead body in her kitchen, her cozy world in Haversham Falls crumbles faster than a day-old scone. Caught in a murder investigation, Ginger must fight to clear her name, protect her family bakery, and uncover the truth hiding beneath layers of small-town secrets.

Armed with a quick wit, a piping bag, and an unlikely alliance with the town’s newest grumpy-but-hot detective, Ginger dives headfirst into a case where every neighbor could be a suspect—and the real killer might be closer than she ever imagined.

GINGER SNAPPED blends culinary cozy mystery, romantic tension, and whodunit suspense in one delicious read. With mouthwatering bakery scenes, quirky townsfolk, and a heroine who won't crumble under pressure, this book is perfect for fans of cozy crime fiction, amateur sleuths, and mysteries with a dash of romance.

FREE in Kindle Unlimited – Grab your apron, pour a cup of tea, and dive into the tastiest mystery in Haversham Falls.

I was going for a simple and easy holiday read. I liked the story and missed that this was read by AI. It was clear right after I started listening that something was off, and that’s when I realized. I powered through, but it was painful. I didn’t even realize AI narration was a thing. And this feels very much like a story read by a robot. In addition to that, as an audiobook it misses the mark in storytelling and I’m pretty sure chapters 14-18 are just alternate endings with the same basic storyline. Pretty annoying to listen to that back to back. There are so many baking puns that it gets old. All in all- I liked the idea here, but execution feels lazy and inauthentic.
