Heather haven VON PUMPERNICKLE – He’s fluffy. He’s fat. He’s a secret agent cat…Theodore Von Pumpernickle’s the hospitality cat at the Cheesehead Lodge in Sister Bay, Wisconsin. He’s also the Pet Intelligence Agency’s cutest, grumpy-faced, feline spy.

Theodore’s diligent detective work put criminal mastermind Dietrich Goldmitten behind bars. But now Goldmitten’s broken out of prison and headed to Sister Bay, revenge on his brain. But he's not the only bad guy in town...

Bertie — PIA's Sister Bay Head of Special Gadgets -- is found dead on his kitchen floor -- poisoned. Now it's up to Theodore and his band of human, furry, and feathered spy friends to figure out who killed Bertie, and stop Goldmitten before he wreaks chaos at Sister Bay's Homeland in the Heartland festival.

Can Theodore save the day?

Fans of campy secret agent stories will find this cat with aspirations of being the next Bond, but the luck of Austin Powers, particularly endearing as he prances through town making observations and connections in order to solve crimes and stop super-villains. With a cadre of other animal friends, our hero sets his sights on the big prize, a promotion at the PIA (Pet Intelligence Agency) and creates multiple incidents of shenanigans along the way. W.A. Yuster amazingly makes it sound like Theodore is being voiced by Patton Oswalt while at the same time bringing unique personalities and vexing emotions to the other characters. Overall the story feels like an animated movie playing out in your ears. [Disclosure: I received this title for free and listened at 2.1x.]

and plenty of fun! Narration was appropriately haughty for a feline super spy, and energetic when needed, would listen to more.

Just as silly as I expected
