The author believes God is calling us back to Psalm 50:5 in the King James Version (KJV) which reads: "Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice." God's people, who have made a covenant with Him through offerings or sacrifices, are called to come together. The early church community committed to four key practices: apostolic teaching, fellowship, shared meals, and prayer. These practices were foundational for growth and unity. The social life of the early believers included their daily gatherings for worship and fellowship, as well as sharing meals with one another. Christian fellowship is more than social interaction. It is a spiritual reality that supports believers in their daily lives. In Acts 2:42, we read: "And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to breaking bread and prayers." Acts 2:46 “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts." They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.”
