this book is somewhere in the middle of all the audible books I have listened to. Only because I have selected some very good books.

Haunting and Healing

Bernice McFadden has a very special gift. She has taken a heartbreaking event and healed so many scars. This gem of a novel is so haunting, yet healing. I completed it, then immediately replayed it.

Imaginative and magical

The nonlinear plot made me feel like there may have been holes? And I wanted to know more about Tass’s adult life, and Hemingway’s too.

An Unusual Journey

What an unusual but worthwhile journey through the lives of usual people who made history!

The reunion at the end

Great book. Easy to follow but kept you involved in the story with a surprise ending. A large array of characters.
