Pine felt like his life was going nowhere. At twenty, he was living at home with his mother, still struggling to get his GED. Sometimes he wished life could be more like the video games he played. The cruel realities of having a dead alcoholic father didn’t feel so bad when he was speeding through the levels of Jump Brothers. Virtual reality had become his favorite way to play and it soon would offer a doorway to another world. After logging on to a suspicious WIFI connection, Pine finds himself transported to a new digital dimension. His avatar, the hunky hero from the RPG Fantasy Tales XII, is everything he is not in life. The depressing physical world is soon replaced with the thrills and chills of every video game from his childhood made real. Pine is about to set out on a fantastic quest to discover how he and a group of other gaymers came to be trapped in this place--and what it has to do with his painful past.
