In a futuristic world where wars have ravaged the human population and left the planet Earth with one man for every 10 women - and even fewer men still capable of sexual functions - Stella White offers an important service. She provides pleasure-bots, human-looking robots designed to satisfy a woman's sexual needs, to women who can afford to rent one. Business is booming. To keep up with demand, she needs a new shipment of machines.

Luckily she gets to test-drive all pleasure-bots before she rents them out. When she tests a pleasure-bot who turns out to be human, she gets much more than the night of her life. James is chiseled, muscular, tall, and dark. In more ways than one. Running from his past, will he ever be able to settle down with Stella?

New desires awaken in her. Desires only a human can satisfy.

CRINGY!

I tried as hard as I could to listen to this short story but the narration killed it. Completely. I cannot believe how bad this was!!
The narrator sounded extremely pressed for time as she spoke in a rapid-fire manner. It sounded like an absolute and total rush job. All the female character voices had the same hurried/rushed teenage, valley girl sound. The human male's voice sounds like he could be one of the nerds from The Revenge of the Nerds. How could this be a hunky guy?! As soon as the narrator gives life to an "oh . . yeah . . " you get the ultimate cringe factor.
The only reason why I am giving the story 2 stars is as a benefit of the doubt to the author.
