Expression of the deep

Melissa was able to put into words things I have been experiencing deeply and did not know how to express them. Her expressions of the feelings and thoughts in the experience of being single was not only validating, but cathartic. I feel freer after hearing Melissa’s writing. I have been reminded of the gift it is to be where I am, along with holding my dreams and desires to be married and a mother. Melissa has reminded me that I have a purpose right here, right now, and it is a reflection of God’s everlasting goodness.

Wholesome single living

The author describes a church landscape where there appears to be a lack of understanding across lines of life experience. Even though this is a different experience from my own, I appreciate how she lays the responsibility to plug into community at the singles' feet. Melissa speaks from a perspective of sustained, long term singleness, which gives her words deep validity.

Wonderful book

Just what I needed to hear! Melissa is a great story teller who points you to Jesus along the way! She voices things I have felt for so long.
