Lance has cleaned up his act, but his bad-boy past keeps coming back to haunt him. He struggles to win back the love of his life, who just left him at the altar. He and his friend Ahket, an ex-thug turned rapper, try not to resort to the violence of their past in their search for redemption. Lance’s gritty reality and heart-wrenching decisions make this book by award-winning best-seller Eric Pete a must-read.

Authors should listen to their books before they allow audible to put them out. This read was as bad as the new computer read books. I refuse to buy them they are horrible. The pauses in between on this one has me irritated through out the read.

Wow! The way the book was read distracted from the story

I enjoyed this audio book as it had a pretty good story line. I stumbled on it because I've enjoyed listening to the narrator Marc Damon Johnson. I love his voice because he really pulls you into the story and makes the characters live.

The story line was much different than I thought it would be and at first I was not interested in hearing a story about a rapper. But, after listening to the book, I felt it was quite entertaining.

The only thing I felt was amiss was the crazy girl that kept appearing on the scene that continued running after the main character Lance.

I have tried to listen to this book 3 times and still have no idea what it's really about. I will be deleting this one from my library
