Getting Duke

Justin is a Chicago street cruiser who is often cruising for Latino men. The night he finds Duke panhandling in front of a Mexican restaurant along 26th Street in Chicago’s Little Village, a mutual interest between the two men begins. In time, an unlikely friendship appears to be developing. Justin’s primary interest in Duke is his desire to date Duke exclusively while developing the friendship. Duke’s primary interest becomes his desire to profit off of Justin’s growing interest in him. “Getting Duke” is a very realistic novel about a street cruiser and a street hustler meeting, as well as their shared adventures that follow, and the challenged friendship that Justin wants to have with Duke. The story can be described as a straight bait and gay for straight adventure since Duke is straight with an interest in a female while Justin is gay. This novel is a contemporary gay adventure with desired gay romance.
