Classic female written ghost stories

I have read several of these authors. I have read Yellow Wallpaper and Man Sized Marble, and Edith Wharton. But I haven’t heard of several of these. And wow! Listening to stories I was already familiar with, but told by these narrators- WOW! What talent! Loved this anthology. Easy listen, some scarier than others. My favorite part is the recognition of these women! It’s a very good homage to women authors. Feminist and empowering!

Very cool anthology

This collection really surprised me. I didn’t realize so many of these female authors wrote horror as well. The stories are smart, subtle, and so modern! Loved the narration. Liked that there were different narrators reading each story. The narration is clean and engaging, and each story holds its own. Loved learning about the female authors of that era. Had no idea that it was kind of taboo that women wrote horror. Super interesting!

Gilded Age Ghosts!

Terrific selection of intense scary stories and an awesome team of narrators. Highly recommended for all!
