Confused

I’m so confused. I wanted to like this book. I wanted to be scared or a little creeped out at least. A 7 hour book and maybe 20 min of supernatural? And the rest is over explaining about a lawyer’s point of view about his “assistant/side chick” and all the dirty things they get to do while his wife and 2 kids are only 4 miles away. Why?? I paid for this book. I know I won’t get my money back. More importantly I actually want my 7 hours back!!!!
