Andy McDermott's best book yet

“Ghost Target” offers a thrilling narrative reminiscent of the Bourne films, combining gritty realism with a superb storyline and just the right amount of action. Unlike some contemporary books that lean towards over-the-top action sequences, “Ghost Target” maintains a balanced and engaging approach. The novel’s ability to strike a balance between action and storytelling is one of its standout features.

Andy McDermott’s writing style and attention to detail contribute significantly to the book’s success. His ability to create a realistic and immersive world for the characters to inhabit adds depth to the storyline. This attention to detail helps readers become emotionally invested in the characters and their journey, making it all the more rewarding.

As a fan of the Bourne films, it’s understandable why “Ghost Target” resonated with me. Both the novel and the film series share a similar tone of suspense, intrigue, and well-executed action sequences. If you’re a fan of suspenseful thrillers and enjoy the Bourne films, this book is definitely worth your time.

Nonstop Action

We catch up with Alex Reeve a few months after the events that occurred in Italy in the last book. Separated from Connie, he is adrift and desperate to stay off of SC9s radar. By sheer happenstance, he stumbles over a news story that he recognizes as the work of an SC9 operative. He forms a plan to thwart an assassination and use it to expose SC9. No SC9 = No one hunting him or Connie. But things in his world rarely go exactly as planned.

This book is 100% action and pretty much nonstop. The action is brutal and not for the particularly squeamish. But Alex, despite his training, remains a man of honor who will do the right thing, even while telling himself that he is being stupid. I normally prefer a bit lighter fare, with a bit more humor. But this series is quite addictive. I recommend it.

An excellent storyline. Full of descriptive action.Interesting characters make for a good story. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Predictive and slow

This is not a book for anyone that considers themselves a Christian or a conservative

Deceitful disappointing and disgusting

This books description does a disservice to the listener. It is very obvious that the author has very liberal views and is asserting his ideology without giving any warning whatsoever in the book description. This should not be considered a thriller. I enjoyed the first 2 Alex Reeves books but this was an extreme letdown completely woke and disgusting.
