With all the ghosts that haunt her at this time of year, Carly doesn't exactly rush to celebrate Halloween. Even a costume ball organized by her boyfriend Dylan's mother, Patricia Davis Jackson, holds little allure. But to please Dylan, who wants peace between the two women, Carly reluctantly agrees to go.

The gossip around town is that architect Haywood Dodd plans to make a big announcement at the party. But before he can address the crowd, he's found dead, with Patricia standing over him, holding the murder weapon. Anxious to clear Patricia's name and perhaps broker a truce with her, Carly would love to use her snooping skills to find the real killer. Only she has bigger problems to deal with - ghosts are flocking to her for help, including a very persistent Haywood Dodd....

I love Heather Blake (Webber). This story was a bit more intricate than the others, which was fun. I didn't quite buy the "who done it," though. I also don't love this narrator. She's fairly slow, especially when doing male voices. She almost makes the men sound stupid. I also wish she would give Carlee a southern accent. She's in Mississippi afterall.

Enjoyable storyline

I truly love the series. I find the characters much like the ones I would see in my every day life. It makes them more in chanting and more familiar. As Darcy moves forward in her enforced. Of hibernation. I truly love this series. I find the characters much like the ones I would see in my every day life. It makes them more and chanting and more familiar. As Darcy moves forward in her self-enforced hibernation, The needs of our community draw her back out and she has to deal with ghosts. As the drama heats up, her life is in danger and she is against the clock trying to figure out who killed whom. I am sad to hear that this series will not be continued by the publisher, but I will listen to it and read it over and over again.

So happy it made me sad
