2 completely different stories

the first story about witches was ok story but to many voices that were annoying and dumb sounding not as predictible as 2nd book Ghosts was slow, boring at times, predictable and could have been narrated better different. the narration didn't keep up with the suspense of the story. and the writer made the Woman a shy meek weakling who just let things happen to her and didn't fight hard enough. There was much drawn out to tell story. it might have been different if it was a regular read than audio.

Good

Good paranormal stories both enjoyable and well done. Have listen to other audios by the narrators and they are good.

Terrific story

Read a wonderful ghost story with two happy and loving endings. Enjoy the sweet happiness.

2 different stories & authors

This set has two very different stories by separate authors. The first book is called Witches of the Woods. It is by Sklyar Finn and narrated by Ramona Master.
It has a gal named Sam that goes to see her mom while on assignment, since it is in her home town. Her father had taken her from her mom at a young age, he thought her mom was untrustworthy. Her mom was keeping secrets, she is a witch and didn't want her strict husband to know.
Sam has been having strange incidents in her life too.
The story is pretty interesting and the narration fair.
The second book is called The Haunting of Hadleigh Estate by Conner Donnelly and narrated by Gwendolyn Druyor. I enjoyed this one a bit more. It starts out quick, a murder, and just keeps going. The main character is a woman who is flawed but a good mother, wife, and loving niece. The uncle is the victim of the murder but the cops don't seem interested in finding a killer.
The ghostly elements are not scary but caring and trying to help the family when they come to the estate. Their lives become in danger when they move in. Lots of suspense, mystery, who-done-it guessing on my part (I am rarely right), and good scary thrills of evil of the human kind kept me entranced! The narration was better than book one.
Both books end with a high note so that is a big plus for me!
I would give book one a 3.5 for the book and 3 stars for narration.
Book two would get 4 stars each for book and narration.
