There was so much to look forward to here. A great story with some seriously sinister elements but come ON that ending was like a slap in the face. It was so oversimplified and stupid. The narrator seriously got on my nerves, I am not even sure why or what specifically I just could not get with her. The story could have been so darn good and it started off quite strong but then, very slowly the whole enterprise goes sour. It devolves into this very convoluted, pretentious, crap. It becomes obnoxious and to add insult to injury this narrator sounds like an entitled brat. Yes I said that. So many times in this book I find myself rolling my eyes at the shallow story and the one note narration. Nope don’t do it. The best parts of this story are included in the description so just read that over and over again rather than wasting a credit. Sorry I really wanted to love this book, there was a lot of potential that was totally squandered.
